Ace Fashion Designer Kate Spade Commits Suicide, Hangs Herself With A Scarf.

Popular fashion designer, Kate Spade, has been found dead inside her Manhattan apartment.

The popular designer, who shot to fame with her line of eponymous purses, is believed to have committed suicide. A police source told the New York Post that the suicide was over ‘relationship problems.’

Spade, 55, left a note telling her daughter it was not her fault before taking her own life by hanging and was discovered by her housekeeper.

She is survived by her husband Andy, who is the brother of actor David Spade, and her 13-year-old daughter Frances. Last year, Coach, now known as Tapestry, bought the Kate Spade brand in a $2.4 billion deal.

Porn Star August Ames Dies At 23, Allegedly Commits Suicide After Cyber Bullies Attack Her On Twitter.

August Ames, a rising star in the adult film industry, reportedly died Tuesday in California. She was 23.

The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed her death.

The outlet reports that her cause of death is currently unknown, but friends suspect it was a suicide, as Ames was prone to depression.

Law enforcement sources said she was pronounced dead at the scene, and there was no indication of foul play.

“She was the kindest person I ever knew and she meant the world to me,” her husband, director Kevin Moore, told industry trade magazine Adult Video News (AVN), which first reported news of her death. “Please leave this as a private family matter in this difficult time.”

Ames was born Mercedes Grabowski in Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1994, and worked in a bar and at a tanning salon before joining the adult film industry in 2013, according to AVN.

Throughout her four years in the business, she appeared in more than 270 X-rated films for companies like Evil Angel, Smash Pictures and Lethal Hardcore.

Her popularity had risen steadily since she nabbed a nomination for Best New Starlet at the 2015 AVN Awards; she scored a nomination for Female Performer of the Year in 2016, 2017 and the upcoming 2018 Awards, set for January.

She also had a large social media following, though friends tell The Blast her prominent online presence may have contributed to her death.

Ames’s Twitter feed was littered in recent days with cyberbullies accusing her of being homophobic after she publicly chose not to work with an unidentified actor who had previously shot gay porn.

Shortly after posting the tweet, Ames was forced to defend herself against a flood of online harassers.

A day later, on Dec. 4, she expressed frustration with the criticism.

She defended herself again after a user responded to the tweet urging her to apologize.

Ames was remembered on social media by her fellow porn stars, including Charlie Sheen’s ex-girlfriend Brett Rossi.

“A beautiful life is GONE because people like to use their ‘fan base’ to bully others because THEIR opinion doesn’t agree with YOURS,” she wrote on Twitter. “RIP to a sweet, kind, soul…I’m so sad & so angry. A life wasted simply because HER opinion didn’t mesh with YOURS.”

Added Anikka Albrite, “My heart is broken for my industry sister. People are cruel and depression is a bitch. Please be good to each other. #RIPAugust.”

Former African Footballer Of The Year, Emmanuel Adebayor Talks About Suicidal Experience

Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed how his family repeatedly drove him to the brink of suicide.

The former Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham striker said he was continuously tormented with non-stop pleas for money while not caring about his wellbeing.

Adebayor, 33, is now with Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir after a brief spell with Crystal Palace.

He told French magazine So Foot, “I felt like killing myself so many times. I kept this to myself for years and years.”

“I am disgusted that things reached this stage, but I feel relieved to have talked about it.”

“My football career will be finished in three or four years. By contrast my family name will remain with me – together with these people.”

“Things are hard to bear when you are working hard to lift your family our of poverty, but they are still opposed to you.”

“I have always told my younger brothers that we have been manipulated by our families.”

“I often change my phone number so that my family can’t contact me.”

“They call me, not to ask how I am, but to demand money. That was the case after I injured my hamstring while with Tottenham.”

“They rang me while I was having a scan to ask me if I could pay a kid’s school fees.”

“At least ask me first how I am before you do this!”

Adebayor has had a difficult year after describing his move to Palace as the “only mistake” he made during his Premier League career.

He said French football newspaper L’Equipelast month, “I truly experienced some beautiful moments in England, at the heart of the country’s best teams.

“I was happy over there, and my family was as well.”

“The only mistake I made was to sign for Crystal Palace in January 2016.”

“I made the decision to please my advisers.”

“They were telling me: ‘Manu, you’ve got to get back playing again!’”

“But it is definitely the worst decision I have made in my entire career.”

OAU Student Commits Suicide Over Poor Grades


A 16-year old 100-level student of Microbiology at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Mercy Afolaranmi, has committed suicide, an official told PREMIUM TIMES.

According to the school’s Chief Security Officer, Babatunde Oyatokun, Miss Afolaranmi, poisoned herself.

Students and a neighbour close to the deceased also said she killed herself due to poor grade.

“We got a call that one of our students took poison,” Mr. Oyatokun said. “We got to hospital to realise that she mixed rat poison. She gave us the contact of her parents but before they arrived, she already gave up due to the effect of the poison she took.”

A neighbour, Bimpe Oni, in an interview with PREMIUM TIMES, said Miss Afolaranmi, who lived off-campus at Sabo area of Ile-Ife, died on Thursday, after she took “rat poison mixed with battery extract.”

Mrs. Oni said the late student committed suicide because of “emotional pressure.”

A student, Aisha, who was Miss Afolaranmi’s colleague in the Faculty of Science, said the deceased had ‘E’ in CHM101 (Chemistry for first year students), a reportedly dreaded course for year one students in the science and technology related faculties.

“Mercy often isolated herself in class and looked depressed,” said Aisha. “She told me she had ‘E’ in CHM101 and has been going around unhappy before this incident.”

Another student in the Faculty of Student, Opeyemi, said “she took poison because of result.”

The school’s Dean of Students’ Affairs, Isiaka Aransi, also confirmed the death of Miss Afolaranmi during a telephone conversation with PREMIUM TIMES on Saturday.

“Although the reason and cause of her death is yet to be known, the division is aware of the death of Mercy,” she said.

“She was a student of department of Microbiology whose body has been taken to hospital for autopsy. When the result is out, the university community shall be communicated,” added Mr Aransi.

Before her death, on October 10, she posted on Facebook that: “Above all other things, I just wanna see God, see what He looks like, speak with Him face to face. I don’t wanna miss heaven. LORD HELP ME.”

Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi West went dramatic on the floor of the Senate, kneeling to beg the Senate to save Kogi State.

Dino has been a particularly controversial figure as a senator, but one must admit, he has times without number spoken up for the people he represents.

As a dogged fighter, he saw to the victorious election that brought Yahaya Adoza Bello to power as Governor in 2016 but his relationship with his former ally has degenerated very badly.

He is begging the senate to help Kogi state civil servants who have not been paid their salaries.

As references, he made examples of the civil servant who recently committed Suicide and the one who’s daughter recently died, both in the same state, both money related issues.

Governor Yahaya Bello, Recently granted a press briefing to address the said non payment of salary, and he said; “The state government only owe nine months salary and this is due to recession which has affected all states in Nigeria”.

Monkeypox victim commits suicide in the hospital.


A victim of Monkeypox receiving treatment at the quarantine centre in the Niger Delta University Hospital (UNDTH), Okolobiri has committed suicide.

It was gathered that the victim, whose name was not disclosed took his life in the early hours of yesterday.

The Bayelsa State government confirmed the development in a press conference involving the Commissioners of Information and Orientation, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson; Health, Prof. Ebitimitula Etebu, the Chief Medical Director, NDUTH, Prof. Dimie Ogoina and other senior health officials.

Etebu disclosed that the deceased was among the 21 suspected cases of ‘MonkeyPox’ that were being managed at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital (NDUTH). He expressed regret that the patient took his own life despite speedily recovering from the disease.

He ‎said the deceased medical history did not suggest any mental illness or features of depression and maintained that the patient did not die from the Monkey pox disease.

Etebu said that the police and his family had been duly contacted and all due diligence was being followed for his funeral.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Asinim Butswat, confirmed the development, saying the matter had been reported to the police. He, however, said the police were not suspecting any foul play, noting that there were no visible marks of violence other than the rope he tied around his neck.

Linkin Park lead singer, Chester Bennington commits suicide


Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has committed suicide … TMZ reports.

Law enforcement sources tell us the singer hanged himself at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County. His body was discovered Thursday just before 9 AM.

Chester was married with 6 children from 2 wives.

The singer struggled with drugs and alcohol for years. He had said in the past he had considered committing suicide because he had been abused as a child by an older male.Chester was very close with Chris Cornell, who himself committed suicide by hanging in May. Today would have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday. Chester wrote an open letter to Chris on the day of Chris’ suicide.

Cornell’s wife, Vicky, tweeted out a message following the news of Chester’s death, saying, “Just when I thought my heart couldn’t break any more … I love you T.” The band has had a string of hits over the years, including “Faint,” “In the End” and “Crawling.” Linkin Park crossed music genres, collaborating with Jay-Z.

The band’s album, “Meteora,” was one of the biggest alternative albums in music history.

Bennington was 41.

Sara Gilks, Noble police officer kills herself after boyfriend dumps her

Dr Sara Gilks, with a distinguished academic career and considered one of West Yorkshire Police‘s most respected volunteer officers, committed suicide after her boyfriend left her.

She sent a text to a friend saying her boyfriend had “absolutely destroyed me” before killing herself . She began to research suicide methods over the internet before she was found dead in her bed by her friend Diane Hirst.

Her friend said: 

“I received a message from her saying her boyfriend had split up with her and she was ‘proper gutted’. She was very upset.

“It was clear that she was so shocked by what had happened. He had booked a skiing holiday for them. The next morning, she said she couldn’t stop crying.”

“I went into her bedroom. She was wearing her pyjamas. I grabbed her arm, it was cold. There were packets of tablets on the bed.

“I was so shocked and upset I couldn’t speak. I never thought she would do such a thing.”

Bride-to-be accidentally kills herself in attempt to say goodbye to dead best friend

A grieving bride-to-be has hanged herself after believing she could go ‘half way’ to heaven to say a last good bye to her dead best friend, an inquest has heard.


Jazmine Howarth, 25, from Radcliffe, Greater Manchester, claimed she could ‘control’ death and meet up with her friend, mother-of-one Dionne Corbett, before returning ‘to the land of the living’. But 24 hours after visiting Ms Corbett’s body in a chapel of rest, Ms Howarth was found dead in a community garden near her home by her fiance.

Ms Corbett (pictured) and Ms Howarth had been best friends since they were toddlers and even talked about getting pregnant at the same time so they could ‘go through it all together’, the inquest was told.

Following Ms Corbett’s death, a devastated Ms Howarth agreed to speak at the funeral and went with her mother to see her body at the chapel of rest.

Her late best friend Ms CorbettShe died on March 11, two weeks after call centre worker Ms Corbett hanged herself at her home in Bolton on February 26 following a battle with depression.

Ms Corbett and Ms Howarth had been best friends since they were toddlers and even talked about getting pregnant at the same time so they could ‘go through it all together’, the inquest was told.

An inquest at Rochdale Coroner’s Court was told Ms Howarth had written a number of letters saying she wanted to meet Ms Corbett, also 25, ‘for one last time’ before coming back so she could ‘carry on with her life’.

FCMB Reveals Why Their Bank Official Committed Suicide

Olisa Nwakoby, First City Monument Bank official who committed suicide on Friday, July 29th, in front of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Lekki, Lagos State, had personal challenges and became frustrated. “First City Monument Bank Plc says”.
The bank however, reportedly noted that neither the management nor colleagues of the deceased were aware of the challenges, and that it was working with Nwakoby’s family and the police to unravel the nature of the challenges.

The punch reported that the Forty-four-year-old Nwakoby, who was said to be the manager of the bank’s branch in Lekki, shot himself in the head over a bad debt estimated at N350m on Friday.

The deceased was said to have given out the sum as loan to a bank customer, who allegedly failed to service the loan.

He was reportedly under pressure from the bank’s management to repay the loan and became frustrated as he could not meet the demand.

But the Acting Group Head, Communications and Brand Management of the FCMB, Lola Egboh, who spoke with our correspondent on the telephone on Sunday, said the suicide had nothing to do with the bank, adding that she did not have the knowledge of any loan.

Egboh, who described Nwakoby’s death as shocking, said “the bank would have come to his aid if it was aware that he had emotional challenges”.

She said, “It is rather unfortunate that the incident happened. Mr. Nwakoby was a member of staff of the FCMB. We are not aware that he was facing personal challenges, which led to the incident. As a bank that caters to the well-being of its workers, we have counsellors who could have helped him. This came as a surprise to us as it was to the public. It is such a trying time for the family; we have been in touch with them. There is a lot of speculations going on at the moment, a lot of them unfounded.

“We are working closely with security operatives and his family to understand what could have led to the personal challenges. I am not aware of any loan. I can’t comment on speculations.”

Efforts to speak with the family proved abortive as of press time. But a source close to the family said, “They were too distraught to speak to the press now.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, said a pistol and live cartridges were recovered from the scene, adding that Nwakoby corpse had been deposited at the Lagos Island Hospital’s morgue.

“At about 9.45am on Friday, one Olisa (Nwakoby) allegedly shot himself in the head with a pistol in front of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Northern Foresore Estate, Lekki.

A team of policemen attached to the Ilasan division reportedly visited, examined and took a photo of the scene. The exhibit, a silver America pistol with five rounds of unexpended ammunition, was recovered to the station while the corpse was removed and deposited at a morgue for autopsy.
