Confirmed: Chelsea Appoint Tuchel As Lampard Replacement.

Former PSG manager Thomas Tuchel has been confirmed as the new Chelsea manager just a day after Frank Lampard’s sack.

Tuchel who started his senior coaching career with Mainz, has coached Borussia Dortmund and PSG, taking the latter to the finals of the Champions League last season.

It remains to be seen how Tuchel will improve the Chelsea squad, especially since Lampard was sacked for not bringing immediate improvement to the club’s fortunes. There are high hopes however, that he will unleash the potential in the signings his predecessor made during the transfer window, especially Timo Werner.

Welcome to the bridge Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea Confirm Frank Lampard Sack.

While confirming Frank Lampard’s sack, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has thanked him for his services and insists his status at the club “remains undiminished”.

He said in a statement: “This was a very difficult decision for the Club, not least because I have an excellent personal relationship with Frank and I have the utmost respect for him’.

“He is a man of great integrity and has the highest of work ethics. However, under current circumstances we believe it is best to change managers.

“On behalf of everyone at the Club, the Board and personally, I would like to thank Frank for his work as Head Coach and wish him every success in the future.

“He is an important icon of this great club and his status here remains undiminished. He will always be warmly welcomed back at Stamford Bridge.”

Stephen Warnock says Chelsea’s demand for ‘instant success’ is behind the decision to replace Frank Lampard, following the news the head coach is to be sacked.

Chelsea fans group We Are The Shed created a banner reading “In Frank we trust. Then. Now. Forever” that was displayed for the first time against Luton on Sunday.

Lampard’s points-per-game average of 1.67 ranks as the 4th lowest of any Blues boss in the Premier League.

In the Roman Abramovich era, only Andre Villas-Boas (47.5 per cent) has a worse win rate in all competitions amongst permanent Chelsea managers than Lampard (52.4 per cent).

Since the start of last season, only Newcastle (54) have conceded more away goals in the Premier League than Chelsea, who have kept a clean sheet in just 17 per cent of their away league games under Lampard.

The club rank fifth for total points taken in the league since the start of last season (95), five less than Leicester and 11 fewer than Manchester United.

Donald Trump Grants Lil Wayne Presidential Pardon.

It was confirmed on the 19th of January that Donald Trump pardoned a number of American music stars, just a day before finally leaving office.

Among those he decided to pardon in the hip hop industry, it is now being reported that he’s also pardoned rap’s very own Lil Wayne.

Back at the end of October 2020, Weezy F Baby was the target of a lot of social media backlash when he endorsed Trump for the presidential election against now President-elect Joe Biden.

Back in November, the rapper was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition as a felon after an anonymous tip was made, which led Miami cops and federal agents to search a jet of his. There, authorities found a gun, cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, heroin, pain killers, prescription-strength cough syrup along with $26,000 in cash.

Wayne would plead guilty to the gun charges last month. The “Glory” rapper faced at least 10 years in prison if convicted.

See the announcement below.

It remains to be seen what steps will be taken against Trump himself, following his role in inciting rioters who overran the capitol at the beginning of the year.

JUST IN: Donald Trump Impeached Again.

United States President Donald Trump was on Wednesday impeached for a second time by the House of Representatives led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Mr. Trump was accused of inciting the violence that broke out at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

Mr. Trump denied the allegations of incitement, and there was no evidence he incited the attempt to disrupt certification of President-elect Joe Biden by the Electoral College. Mr. Trump was seen in a video rallying his supporters to be peaceful and patriotic before the incident at the Capitol.

Nonetheless, Ms. Pelosi proceeded with other members of the Democratic Party and 10 other Republican members of the House to impeach Mr. Trump. It was the second of such since 219 when Mr. Trump was impeached over allegations of trying to bribe Ukrainian officials to go after his political oppponents.

Mr. Trump has now become the first American president to be impeached twice by the House. But the Senate has said it will not be voting to convict Mr. Trump before he leaves office on January 20, merely six days away.

COVID-19: Pope’s Doctor Dies Following Complications.

Pope Francis’ personal physician, Fabrizio Soccorsi, has died from “complications due to Covid,” the Vatican’s newspaper L’Osservatore Romano reported on Saturday.

Mr. Soccorsi, who became the Pope’s doctor in 2015, was 78 years old at the time of his demise, the outlet said.

He was previously hospitalised in Rome on December 26, a newspaper reported.

It is not immediately clear if he had a recent contact with the Pope but the pontiff in a recent interview expressed his readiness to be inoculated with COVID vaccine.

The Pope also announced that the Vatican will begin Covid-19 vaccinations next week.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Are Reportedly Getting A Divorce.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are over.

Multiple sources report that “divorce is imminent” for the Hollywood couple, with Kardashian hiring divorce attorney to the stars, Laura Wasser.

“They are keeping it low-key but they are done,” says a source. “Kim has hired Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.”

Kim, 40, hasn’t been seen wearing her wedding ring, and Kanye, 43, remained at his $14 million Wyoming ranch over the holidays instead of spending it with the Kardashian family, who drew criticism for their extravagant celebrations.

“Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She’s done,” the source continued.

The source added that while Kim has done much in the past to protect and help Kanye deal with his mental health struggles, “Now this divorce is happening because Kim has grown up a lot.

“She is serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer, she is serious about her prison reform campaign. Meanwhile Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy s–t, and she’s just had enough of it.”

Meanwhile, a separate source says Kanye, who became increasingly uncomfortable and irritated by the Kardashians’ over-the-top reality star lives, “Is completely over the entire family … He wants nothing to do with them,” adding he eventually found their reality show “unbearable.”

West tweeted in July, “I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Warldolf [sic] for ‘prison reform,’” seeming to refer to a criminal justice summit attended by Kim and rapper Meek Mill in November 2018.

He also called momager Kris Jenner “Kris Jong-Un” and claimed that the Kardashians were trying to force him into psychiatric treatment.

Then Kanye reluctantly showed up for Kim’s ridiculously extravagant $1 million-plus 40th birthday in Tahiti last October for just one day.

“He showed up late and left early, he wouldn’t appear in any of their Instagram shots. All he did was bring over the hologram of her father Robert Kardashian, then got out of there as fast as he could,” the source added.

The source said the biggest sticking point in the Kimye divorce settlement talks could be over their Calabasas, California, family home, which underwent a total redesign masterminded by Kanye and was heralded by Architectural Digest as “an oasis of purity and light.”

The couple worked on the all-white, minimalist home with Belgian designer Axel Vervoordt. They reportedly paid $40 million for the house and spent $20 million on renovations.

The source said, “Kim is trying to get Kanye to turn over the Calabasas house to her, because that’s where the kids are based and growing up. That is their home.”

Explaining, “She owns all the land and adjoining lots around the house but Kanye owns the actual house. They’ve both put a lot of money into renovating it.”

The source added of the advanced settlement talks, “This isn’t the first time they’ve been talking about a split, but this time it is way, way more serious.”

Another source confirmed to us that divorce settlement talks were underway, but they were not yet at the point of deciding how their properties would be divided.

This would be Kim’s third divorce. She previously hired Wasser for her divorce from basketball player Kris Humphries. Wasser, who has also represented Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Johnny Depp, was not immediately available for comment.

But the power LA divorce lawyer is well-known to advocate for her clients to negotiate and agree a confidential settlement before any divorce papers are filed in court. Because LA divorces are more public than in New York, this ensures that more of the proceedings remain secret.

Kim and Kanye were married in 2014 in an over-the-top ceremony in Italy. They have four children: daughter North, 7, son Saint, 5, daughter Chicago, who turns 3 next week, and son Psalm, 19 months.

Reps for both Kim and Kanye didn’t immediately comment.
