We Derive Pleasure From Kidnapping, Raping Old Women.

A 34-year-old man, Nnamdi Ethelbert Ogidi, has been arrested for kidnapping and raping old women in Imo State.

Ogidi was nabbed on May 23, while negotiating a N20 million ransom for a victim, 74-year-old Regina Nkwocha. Other members of his gang escaped.

The suspect, popularly known as Bori, reportedly told the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the state police command, that his gang had kidnapped many persons, including 15 old women.

The Sun quoted the suspect as confessing that, “I am from Imo state and after dropping out of senior secondary school, I learnt how to become a mechanic.

Along the line I met bad friends who initiated me into the deadly cult group known as Debam fraternity. Most of them were into one bad thing or the other, so it was easy for me to join a gang of kidnappers who are also members of the cult.

We derive pleasure in kidnapping elderly women and while their family members will be running around for ransom, we will take turns to rape the women.

Our hideout is at Egbema LGA. I know that we have made a lot of money from kidnapping but because of the trauma that those women who are old enough to be my mother went through, I am sincerely sorry.

I still hope that the police will arrest the others because I cannot face the consequence of our action alone.”

Thirty JSS Students Gang Raped During Cult Initiations In Enugu.

Ten students in JSS1 and JSS3, aged 14 and 15 years old have been arrested by the anti-cultism squad of Enugu State Police Command, for belong to the Viron Queens or White Angels confraternities, Sun reports.

Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Danmallam, revealed that the operation was carried out after the Command received a tip-off that students of several Enugu secondary schools.

According to Danmallam, the Command received a 30-name list of JSS students who were allegedly raped and initiated into cult groups.

Some of the students arrested were identified as Naomi Peace,15, Ruth Nwoke, 14, Chibuogu Adaeze, 15 and Ujunwa Ede, 14. Others were Chiemerie Olisakure, 15, Akalisi Chisom, 14 and Ogbu Ebere, 14.

The trio of Edeh, Peace and Nwoke told Saturday Sun they were introduced to the cult by a friend and at their initiation in 2017, were raped each by 5 different boys.

Another victim, Adaeze, claimed “We didn’t know they put drugs in the drinks they gave us. From there, we were initiated and raped by six boys.” Olisakure also added: “We were threatened not to tell anybody.

The irony is that at the closing hour of the school, three of the same boys who initiated us would come with bike and take us away to have sex with us. After that, they give us ₦1,500, as transport fare.”

Chisom, also raped by five boys, said the incident took place at a friend’s party in a hotel. She further alleged, “Some of our teachers know that we are members of Viron Queen Confraternity.

We don’t respect our male and female teachers. Some of them used the advantage to sleep with us because we don’t want them to tell our parents.” Some of them also confessed to indulging in cigarette smoking and drinking beer at parties or clubs.

The Commissioner of Police, Danmallam, said the police are still investigating the case. The next phase of action, he added, is detectives going after those who raped and initiated the girls.

Notorious One Handed Armed Robber Caught In Anambra State.

A notorious armed robber with one hand along with his accomplice got more than they bargained for after they were caught by angry villagers in Obeledu area of Anaocha local government Area, Anambra State.

The suspects believed to have been terrorizing the community before their capture – were said to have been nabbed while trying to snatch a motorcycle from one man at gunpoint.

They were chased by the villagers and caught as the youths decided to make an example out of them by beating them mercilessly.

They were later handed over to Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS.

Lagos CEO Arrested And Arraigned Over ₦97Million Fraud.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, on Thursday, June 28, 2018, arraigned one Efe Egube and his firm, Oceanic Energy Services Limited, before Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on a two-count charge bordering on forgery and obtaining by false pretence to the tune of ₦97,020,000.00.

The defendant was said to have fraudulently obtained a loan facility from Enterprise Bank (also known as Heritage Bank), with forged documents.

The count read: “That you, Efe Egube, Oceanic Energy Services Limited, on or about the 10th day of August, 2013 at Lagos, within the Ikeja Judicial Division, with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of ₦97,020,000.00 (Ninety-seven Million and Twenty Thousand Naira) from Enterprise Bank (a.k.a. Heritage Bank) by falsely representing that the money was the cost of facilitating a Local Purchase Order (LPO) contract from Dangote Industries Limited, which representation you knew to be false.”

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge and proceedings were adjourned to a later date.

American rapper, Drake, has confirmed that he truly has a son on his new album, ‘Scorpion.’

On the song, ‘Emotionless’, Drake’s lyrics go:

Barber Arrested For Defiling Six Year Old Girl.

One Daniel Essien has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly defiling a six- year- old girl at Alagbole area of Akute.

He was picked up after Mrs Ayoola Tolulope, the mother of the girl, lodged a complaint. Tolulope reported that she was called by her child’s school teacher to be watchful of her daughter because the girl confided in her that a man has been abusing her sexually.

This made her interrogate the victim on her arrival from school, and she told her that it was Essien, a barber in the neighborhood who has had carnal knowledge of her three times. The suspect was promptly arrested and he owned up to the commission of the crime.

Imam Prevents The Death Of 262 Christians In Plateau, Hides Them In Mosque.

The death toll in the Plateau massacre could have risen up if not for the kind and timely intervention of an Imam in Inghar Yerwa village.

According to BBC, men and women in the 11 communities that were attacked, took to their heels with their children to the neighboring communities for safety.

While they were running, the Imam saw them and decided to open his home so they can hide from their attackers. He kept the men in the mosque while the women and children he kept in his home. The attackers came to the Imam and asked him to surrender those that were Christians he was hiding but he lied to them that no Christian was in his home.

This singular act saved 262 Christians from being killed in the attack.

Over 100 persons, including children, were killed by the suspected herdsmen.

Nigerian Nurse Convicted In The UK For Trafficking Women For Prostitution.

A nurse identified as Josephine Iyamu has been convicted of heading up a criminal network that subjected vulnerable Nigerian women to voodoo rituals before trafficking them. The Nigerian lady reportedly forced the trafficked women to swear oaths to hand over money to her during “juju” ceremonies.

According to media reports, Josephine denied trafficking five women from Nigeria to Germany and exploiting them for prostitution across Europe.But following a ten week trial, a jury at Birmingham Crown Court today convicted her of modern slavery offences and perverting the course of justice.

The 51-year-old’s conviction is the first successful prosecution of a British national under the Modern Slavery Act involving victims who have no connection to the UK, but have been victimised by a UK national.

Her husband was found not guilty of perverting the course of justice.

The National Crime Agency began investigating Iyamu in July 2017 after the German Polizei identified one of her victims and recovered evidence pointing to her being the ringleader of a network trafficking vulnerable women.

NCA officers tracked down Iyamu, known to her victims as Madam Sandra, to a small flat in Bermondsey, South London, where she was working as a nurse.

The voodoo rituals saw the women forced to eat chicken hearts, drink blood containing worms, and have powder rubbed into cuts, the court heard.

According to reports, the case is the first in England and Wales in which a British citizen has been prosecuted for sexual trafficking offences committed outside the UK.

A Petrol tanker loaded with fuel exploded along the Otedola Bridge axis of Berger in Lagos with the blaze engulfing many other vehicles.

The tanker was said to be heading inwards Lagos towards Alausa when the crash occurred, causing panic and fear.

As at the time of report, traffic has been put on hold on both sides of the road while emergency officials are at the scene trying to put out the fire and attend to those affected.

According to Adesina Tiamiyu, General Manager of Lagos State Emergency Services, 9 bodies were confirmed dead and recovered from the #OtedolaBridgeFire scene (8 adults and 1 minor) while 4 persons sustained various degrees of injuries and have been taken to the hospital. He also puts the number of vehicles burnt at 54.

Uncle Rapes 18-Month-Old Niece To Death.

A mom is still trying to come to terms with the death of her 18-month-old daughter, Zama, raped and brutalized by her 23-year-old uncle in Esikhaleni, South Africa.

The 34-year-old mother revealed that Zama had been raped the day before she died on Wednesday, last week. She said her daughter was living with her 26-year-old father at the time of her death.

According to her, Zama’s father told her that her stepmother left her in the care of her uncle while she went to buy groceries on Tuesday. The mom revealed that her husband called her on Tuesday that the deceased has a swollen forehead and blood on her mouth and privates.

The uncle told the family the baby had eaten fertilizer. “He told me they were going to take her to the clinic the next morning, but when they woke up she was dead,” she added.

Two days later, the police called the baby’s father and asked him to bring the uncle to the station, where they arrested him for murder and rape. He was arraigned in court on Monday.
