Rishi Kapoor: Ace Bollywood Actor Dies Of Cancer.

Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor, famed for his romantic roles, has died of cancer aged 67.

He was part of the Kapoor acting dynasty which has long dominated Bollywood, the Hindi film industry.

The actor made a huge splash in 1973 with his first lead role in Bobby – a teenage love story.

He played the romantic lead in dozens of films for over two decades, after which he made a successful transition to character roles.

Rishi Kapoor debuted as a child actor in 1970 in his father Raj Kapoor’s film, Mera Naam Joker.

Several of his films in the 1980s and 90s – Khel Khel Mein, Karz and Chandni – became massive box office hits.

He was a skilful dancer and some of his films had songs that are massively popular even today.

Kapoor made a successful on-screen pair with actress Neetu Singh. In one of Bollywood’s most enduring love stories, they took that romance off-screen as well when they got married in 1980.

Their son, Ranbir Kapoor, is a successful Bollywood star in his own right.

The news he had lost his battle with cancer came a day after the death of Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan .

Kapoor was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018 and returned to India last September after a year-long course of treatment in New York.

He was taken to hospital on Wednesday morning after he complained of breathing difficulties, his brother Randhir Kapoor told the Press Trust of India.

The actor’s family confirmed his death in a message saying his life had ended peacefully.

He recovered well enough to shoot what would turn out to be his last film “Angrezi Medium,” the release of which was abruptly cut short due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in March.

On Tuesday, he was admitted into the intensive care unit of Mumbai’s Kokilaben hospital with a colon infection and news of his death filtered out the following day.

North Korea Dictator Kim Jong-Un Reportedly Dead After Botched Heart Surgery.

North Korea’s Supreme Leader/dictator Kim Jong-un has reportedly died, or is on his death bed with no hope for recuperation — according to media outlets in China and Japan.

Amid reports China has sent a medical team to their communist neighbors this week to check in/advise on Kim, a Hong Kong-backed news channel’s vice director — who’s apparently the niece of a Chinese foreign minister — blasted out the news herself … he’s dead.

The woman put the report on a social media app called Weibo for her nearly 15 million followers to read, citing a “very solid source” about the claim Kim had, in fact, passed away. A Japanese magazine reports he’s in a “vegetative state” after a heart surgery gone wrong.

The outlet reports — citing a Chinese medical expert privy to the situation — that Kim had clutched his chest in early April and fell down while visiting the countryside there. He needed a stent procedure done, but apparently … it either wasn’t done rapidly enough, or it was botched completely by the surgeon — with some reports saying he had shaky hands.

There’s a lot of rumors swirling about the guy’s condition — and the fact is
he hasn’t made any major public appearances looking to be okay in several weeks now. About a week or so ago, CNN reported Kim was in “grave danger” after a medical procedure.

President Trump has downplayed the reports and has refused to elaborate — but it looks like KJU’s sister, Kim Yo-jong, might be getting set up to possibly replace him as Supreme Leader
reports say she was recently re-promoted to a prominent position of power there.

Paralympic Gold Medalist Ndidi Nwosu Is Dead.

One of Nigeria’s renowned power-lifters and star at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio De Janeiro, Ndidi Nwosu, is dead.

The death of Nwosu was confirmed by Queen Uboh, the former President of the Nigeria Powerlifting Federation.

According to Ms Uboh, the husband of the late powerlifter Ikechukwu Nwosu, called her to convey the sad news of the demise of the world champion.

She said: “Ndidi sustained an injury from the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia. She was a heavyweight powerlifter. I had actually assisted by paying for two of the surgeries she had in Owerri but after the surgery, she was never the same again.

She had been off and on in the hospital and that was why she couldn’t take part in this last World Cup.

“Even before she died, she appeared to me in the dream. She told me not to leave her family and that I was still her mummy despite not being the Powerlifting President anymore. So when the husband called me to inform me of her passing, I knew already because she had appeared to me in the dream”.

The former official further revealed that after her surgery, she sent some money to Nwosu to start a petty business but she couldn’t manage it with her poor health.
“She called me to say she couldn’t sustain the business because she couldn’t move about anymore and moreover, she was using the money to buy drugs.”

Ms Uboh described the late Nwosu as very humble and easy-going.
“She was a very quiet powerlifter and that’s why many people really didn’t know her. Ndidi became a professional powerlifter in 2008 and won gold in the Rio Paralympic Games in 2016 and also at the 2018 Commonwealth Games It was at the Commonwealth Games that she sustained an injury which affected her spine.”

Meanwhile, the federal government has expressed sadness over the death.

While expressing his deepest condolences and sympathy with the family of the iconic powerlifter, the Youth and Sports Minister, Sunday Dare, recalled and extolled the podium performances of Nwosu, “which etched and ranked the name of her fatherland- Nigeria- amongst the countries parading great para powerlifters on the international scene.”
