New reports have confirmed that Nollywood legendary actor, Martins Njubigbo (Elder Maya), has passed on after a long battle with liver disease.
According to African entertainment, the actor who is famous for his roles as village chief priest passed on yesterday. This was also confirmed by filmmaker Yomi Fabiyi, who took to his social media to share share condolence messages.

May of this year, disturbing photos of the actor surfaced on social media, with actors asking Nigerians to raise the N2 million needed for his medical treatment. Not long after, popular Abuja pastor, Joshua Iginla, offered to pay for Elder Maya’s bills and the clergy man promised to help the actor through his recovery after he had undergone all necessary treatments.
Sadly, he has passed on.
